ASDA | Crufts Online Pet Show terms and conditions

1. You must be aged 18 or over to enter.
2. Participants are deemed to have accepted and agreed to be bound by these terms and conditions upon entry. The Kennel Club reserves the right to refuse entry or refuse to award a prize to anyone in breach of these terms and conditions.
3. The Kennel Club reserves the right to amend the terms and conditions at any time.
4. All entries must be submitted as a grid post on the entrant’s profile, use the #ASDACrufts2023 and follow the Crufts page. Only posts using the #ASDACrufts2023 will be entered to become Best in Show. In the case of Facebook entrants must submit their video or photo in the comments section of the category post they wish to enter. Entries can be either photograph or video.
5. Participants can enter each category as many times as they wish, however, each entry must be a separate grid post on Instagram and or a separate video / photo comment on the correct Crufts post on Facebook. A pet can be submitted for more than one Event Category but may only progress to the Final in one Event Category in the case where s/he would otherwise qualify for more.
6. All categories are open for a period of six days, commencing 12^th May 2023 and finishing 23^rd June 2023. The entry windows per category are detailed below:

1. Best Pet Companion 12^th May 2023 until 18^th May 2023
2. Funniest Pet 19^th May 2023 until 25^th May 2023
3. Best Pet Selfie 26^th May 2023 until 1^st June 2023
4. Most Photogenic Pet 2^nd June 2023 until 8^th June 2023
5. Pet and Family Moment 9^th June 2023 until 15^th June 2023
6. Announcement of all finalist’s 16^th of June 2023
7. Process to select Best in show 16^th June 2023 until 22^nd June 2023
8. ASDA Crufts Best Pet in Show Announcement will be made 23^rd June 2023.

All entries per category must be made by midday on the final day of the category. No new entries for any category will be accepted after this time.  

7. If your entry includes an image of an identifiable person, by submitting your entry you are confirming you have obtained their consent to post your photograph or video, or their guardian’s consent where the identifiable person is under 16.
8. By submitting your entry, you are agreeing that The Kennel Club will have a non-exclusive licence to keep and use your photograph and/or video as it wishes, including but not limited to use in the Show, future Kennel Club dog shows, promotional activity, and any other Kennel Club official use.
9. The Kennel Club accepts no responsibility or liability for any injuries or damage suffered during filming or photographing of the entries and reserves the right to remove any images that are deemed inappropriate or appear to compromise the welfare of any animal.
10. We DO NOT accept these types of photographs:

1. We do not accept submissions with any type of watermarks including your name, initials, logo or other words or symbols embossed or imprinted anywhere on your
2. We do not accept submission that are digitally framed or have any coloured borders.
3. We do not accept imagery with any social media filters and or the use of emoji or another brands iconography.
4. We do not accept submission that could be interpreted as cruel, harmful, or non-respectful of the pet’s wellbeing.
5. We do not accept submission of pets in negative or sub-par conditions or visibly unhealthy.
6. We do not accept submission of pets in prong collars, electric collars, or any other collars deemed to be harmful to a pet wellbeing.
7. We do not accept submission of dogs with cropped ears or docked tails.
8. For the best pet companion category, we will only accept images where the best is accompanied by a human.
9. We do not show images of pets wearing clothing.
10. For the most photogenic entries the pet must be the protagonist of the shot.
11. For the pet and family moment category the pet must be surrounded by loved ones.

11. Any submission that cannot be authenticated upon entry or is not of an acceptable quality meeting our Terms and Conditions at time of upload will be disqualified.
12. Submissions by category - All photographs must accurately reflect the pet as they appear in life. Nothing should be added to the entry of a pet including filters, and aside from in-camera dust spots, nothing should be taken away.  Normal processing of RAW image files and minor adjustments to colour and contrast are acceptable.  MINOR digital adjustments including tone, cropping, sharpening, noise reduction, and general minor cleaning up are permitted providing that this complies with the competition’s principles of authenticity so that it does not deceive the viewer or misrepresent the reality of the nature of the pet.  While minor digital adjustments are allowed, adding, or removing objects, animals or parts of animals, plants, people etc., is not permitted.  Information regarding any post-processing to any entry may be queried by email during shortlisting.  
13. The Kennel Club is not responsible for any problems with or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, computer online systems, servers or providers, computer equipment, software, failure of any email entry to be received on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any website, human errors of any kind, or any combination thereof, including any injury or damage to entrants' or any other persons' computers related to or resulting from participation, uploading or downloading of any materials related to this competition.
14. If for any reason the competition is not capable of running as planned, the Kennel Club reserves the right to suspend or cancel the competition. If a Sponsor elects to cancel or terminate the competition, the Sponsor will not retain any promotional rights in the submitted photographs.
15. The Show will be judged in stages on a weekly basis using the process detailed below:

For example:

• Stage 1: Entries will be collated from the comments section of Facebook post which announces the competition category weekly. This happens for each category in the list. On Instagram they will be collated from those who have posted their entry on their own grid, used the #ASDACrufts2023 and followed the Crufts profile.
• Stage 2: All finalists move forward to the final stage which is the opportunity to become ‘Best Pet in Show’
• Stage 3: The winner of the Final is the entry receiving the greatest number of votes during the Final period and may involve the use of additional judges nominated by The Kennel Club.

16. The winners of each category listed above will receive the prize shared as part the post copy each week. The Kennel Club does not accept any liability whatsoever for these products and or services.
17. Prize winners will be contacted by Direct Message with instructions on Instagram and Facebook messenger with our contact details so we can arrange the distribution of prizes. If the winners do not message The Kennel Club e-mail address provided within 14 days of being notified The Kennel Club reserves the right to withdraw the prize from the winner and offer the prize to a runner-up.
18. All prizes are subject to availability and are non-exchangeable, non-transferable and no cash alternative is available or offered. The prize is non-refundable, and no change will be given.
19. Events may occur that render the show itself or the awarding of the prizes impossible due to reasons beyond the control of The Kennel Club and accordingly The Kennel Club may at its absolute discretion vary or amend the prize promotion and the entrant agrees that no liability shall attach to The Kennel Club as a result thereof.
20. The decision of The Kennel Club regarding any aspect of the Show is final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into about it.
21. The Kennel Club accepts no responsibility for entries not successfully completed due to a technical fault including but not limited to technical malfunction, computer hardware or software failure, satellite, network or server failure of any kind.
