Obedience competitions, involved at Crufts since the 1950s, highlight the impressive teamwork between dogs and handlers. Dogs perform tasks like heeling, retrieving, and staying with precision.

Crufts 2024 Obedience winner
Lennie, a Border Collie, and his owner Lorna Hilton from Brighton, East Sussex, took home the top obedience prize for dogs at Crufts on Saturday 9 March, after winning the Obedience Championship (dog) final.
There are three different competitions that take place over the course of the event:
- Inter-regional rally competition followed by the obreedience competition
- Inter-regional obedience competition
- Obedience championships for dogs and obedience championships for bitches
