Cheap and cheerful homemade dog treats

Saving money doesn’t mean your dog needs to go without. With our handy recipes, you can whip up some tasty treats for your dog and have fun at the same time.

Remember, these recipes are designed as treats for your dog, so dish them out in moderation and keep an eye on your dog’s calorie intake. Also, some dogs can have nut allergies or special dietary needs, so read the ingredients list thoroughly before you start cooking! If your dog suffers from obesity, pancreatitis, diabetes, a sensitive stomach or has any issues with their kidney or liver, please speak with your vet first.

Also, be extra careful about peanut butter. Dogs love it and it has plenty of protein, but it can also be high in salt and sugar, and some even contain artificial sweeteners, which are toxic to pets.
