Crufts 2026 – Day 2 guide: big competitions and crowd favourites
If Day 1 got you warmed up, Day 2 is where things really hit their stride. The crowds are in full swing, the competition is fierce and there’s another packed schedule waiting across the halls and in the BP Pulse LIVE Arena.
Here’s how we’d plan it.
08:00: Doors open and it’s straight into the action. Over in Hall 5, the Inter-Regional Obedience competition gets underway – a powerful display of focus, control and partnership at the highest level.
09:00: Head to Hall 8 where you’ll find Crufts Corner, along with the chance to get up close and personal with a Bulldog in the Discover Dogs showcase area. Then at 11:00, don’t miss Baby Yogi – nephew and social media sidekick to @hectorthechocolabo – who’ll be in Crufts Corner signing pawtographs and meeting fans.
Throughout the morning: Make time for the Terrier and Hound, Spaniels and Setters Dog Grooming Championships in Hall 8. The level of preparation, precision and presentation is exceptional, and it’s always fascinating to see the transformation and technique up close.
10:45: Head to the Good Citizen Dog Training Scheme ring in Hall 3 for Therapy Dogs Nationwide. This heart-warming display highlights the life-changing work therapy dogs do across the UK – have tissues at the ready.
11:55: Over in the bp pulse LIVE Arena, the UK Freestyle finals take centre stage. Expect storytelling, creativity and plenty of wow moments as handlers and dogs perform routines packed with personality.
13:00: Time to refuel. Str(eat) Kitchen is our urban street food destination, serving up trend-led dishes with big flavour – fast, fresh and ready when you are. You’ll find it in Hall 3 and the Piazza, making it the perfect pit stop before the afternoon programme ramps up.
14:30: The Vulnerable Breeds Competition pre-judging begins in Hall 1, ring 8. This is a wonderful opportunity to see some of our rarer native breeds in the spotlight before they head to the big arena later in the day.
15:12: Take your seat in the bp pulse LIVE Arena for Flyball – The Last 16. It’s fast, loud and completely addictive. Blink and you might miss it.
16:55: Back to Hall 3 for the Southern Golden Retriever Display Team in the Good Citizen Dog Training Scheme ring. Expect energy, enthusiasm and that unmistakable Golden charm.
17:40: The spotlight shines on the Vulnerable Breeds Competition Grand Final in the BP Pulse LIVE Arena. After this afternoon’s pre-judging, this is their moment in front of the Crufts crowd.
18:05: Stay right where you are for the Joe Cartledge Memorial International Junior Handling Final. Watching these young handlers compete at such an exceptional level is a real highlight – the future of the show ring is clearly in very safe hands.
After the show: When the final applause fades, why not wind down at Wetherspoons? It’s a great place to take time out of the show or relax once the halls close, with a wide-ranging menu to suit all tastes. You’ll find it on the Piazza side of the NEC – ideal for a well-earned sit down and a recap of the day’s highlights.
Day 2 brings big moments, standout performances and plenty of reasons to stay just that little bit longer.
