Crufts 2026 – Day 1 guide: start your Crufts adventure
08:00: Doors open and the early birds make a beeline for their favourites. If you love precision and partnership, head towards Hall 5 for the Inter-Regional Rally and the Obreedience Competition in the Obedience Ring – a fantastic showcase of teamwork between dogs and their handlers.
09:55: Make your way to the Good Citizen Dog Training Scheme ring in Hall 3 for the Puppy and Foundation Display. It’s guaranteed to deliver equal parts “aww” and inspiration, with young dogs showing just what early training can achieve.
10:30: Over in the bp pulse LIVE Arena, the UK Heelwork to Music finals take centre stage. Expect creativity, choreography and canine talent as partnerships compete for the ultimate title in this crowd-favourite discipline.
Throughout the day: Dog Grooming enthusiasts won’t want to miss the ‘Working and Pastoral’ and ‘Poodles’ Dog Grooming Championships in Hall 8 this morning. The skill, artistry and preparation on display is seriously impressive – and you might even pick up a few professional tips along the way.
12:00: There’s just enough time to pop along and meet one of the many dog influencers joining us onsite. Head to Crufts Corner in Hall 8 to say hello and pick up some travel tips from Winston the Corgi, of @worldwide_winston Instagram fame.
12:30: Time to refuel. Head to the Piazza for classic and signature bagels with a flavour for everyone, from smoked salmon and cream cheese to the fan-favourite salt beef melt. It’s the perfect grab-and-go lunch before diving back into the action.
13:00: Fancy having a go and picking up some skills to get your dog into Agility? Now’s your chance with the Agility Have a Go session in the Dog Activities ring in Hall 3 – dogs are provided!
14:00: If you missed out on the Agility, stay put for the Showing and Ringcraft Have a Go session to get a taste of what it’s like to show your dog.
15:15: Afternoon slump? Not on our watch. Coffee your way at Starbucks, serving up your brand favourites alongside a full bakery and deli range. You’ll find locations in the Piazza and Atrium – ideal for a quick pick-me-up before the late afternoon excitement.
15:55: Take your seat in the bp pulse LIVE Arena for the ever-popular West Midlands Police Dog Display Team. Powerful, precise and always impressive, this display showcases the extraordinary skill and dedication of working dogs and their handlers.
17:40: Stay in the arena for the Junior Warrant Final, celebrating the very best young dogs competing at Crufts. It’s a brilliant opportunity to see future stars in action.
18:00: The Breeders’ Competition reaches its pinnacle with the live final in the BP Pulse LIVE Arena. After this afternoon’s pre-judging, this is where it all comes together under the lights.
Before you know it, the first day will be wrapping up and you’ll be wondering how you managed to fit so much into just a few hours.
