The Crufts Hero Dog Award
Every dog can be a hero, and we know that can mean something different to everyone.
The Crufts Hero Dog Awards celebrate dogs who have made a truly special difference to the lives of others. They might be a working or assistance dog, have shown incredible bravery, or simply be a much-loved companion who has changed someone’s life for the better. Whatever their story, we want to hear about the dogs who deserve their moment in the spotlight.
This year, five Hero Dogs will be chosen and their stories shared in the lead-up to Crufts. The public will then have the chance to vote for their People’s Champion, who will be announced in the main arena at Crufts 2027.
Each of our five Hero Dogs will also receive a donation from the Royal Kennel Club, (in partnership with Royal Canin) for their nominated charity, helping to make a positive difference.
Know a Hero Dog? We’d love to hear their story.
Nominations are now open and close at the end of October. Complete the form above to tell us why your Hero Dog - or a dog you know - deserves to be recognised.
